Leverage the expertise of our Guest Presenter

1:00 PM CDT / 2:00 PM EDT

Have you ever wondered about all the steps and costs involved in getting an export shipment from your warehouse to the end user at a foreign destination? These steps are based on what we in the U.S. refer to as “Door to Door,” but that cannot be used realistically in trade except for samples and smaller shipments. Large commercial shipments don’t move that way. The proper international trade term is “DDP” for delivered duty paid. Join us as we examine the steps, costs, liabilities, and customs responsibilities for a shipment moving from the supplier to the importer and beyond to the buyer or end user.

Topics include:

  • We try to make shipping internationally no different than shipping domestically
  • Incoterm DDP – The exact definition
  • What the supplier and the buyer are responsible for
  • Risks involved for the supplier
  • 4PL? The fewer providers that handle the shipment the better
  • Step by step analysis and example cost breakdowns of a shipment in progress DDP
  •  Q & A Session With Presenter

Don’t have time to sit down and attend the live webinar? All registrants will receive access to a recording of the event, be sure to register so you can access the recording.
