Virtual Consultations are a 30 minute one-on-one video consultation with one of our In-Market Representatives. These sessions are meant to help you explore questions related to export plans and market expansion. During your session you will have the opportunity to receive answers to pre-determined market-specific questions. Our in-market experts will do their best to answer your questions and deliver valuable feedback to help you achieve export success.
Suppliers can select up to four (4) questions to ask the In-Market Representative. Questions will be submitted in advance of the one-on-one video consultation and follow-up assistance may be permitted. From the date of registration, we will set a 10-business-day timeline for initiating the video consultation.
In-Market Representatives will use the information gathered during the registration to begin preliminary research to help answer the supplier’s questions. During the call, our In-Market Representatives will do their best to answer as many questions as they can while giving valuable, real-time feedback.
Sumit Saran has more than 20 years of experience in managing and implementing launch and promotion of various international food products in India.
Sumit Saran is Director of SS Associates, an international food marketing consulting firm based in Delhi NCR, India. The firm is involved in marketing of high value foods from many parts of the world in India. Specifically, from the US, SS Associates currently represents and markets Washington Apples, USA Pears, American Pistachios, US Cranberries, Northwest Cherries and American Pecans in the high growth Indian market.
From 2013-2018, Sumit Saran was the Head of International Foods at Future Group, one of India’s largest retailers at that time. His responsibilities included setting up distribution channels for imported foods, establishing international tie-ups and handling international food promotions across the various retail formats that Future Group owned and operated.
From 2000-2013, Sumit Saran was part of an agribusiness consulting firm that specialized in generic marketing of international foods in India.
Mr. Saran holds a Master’s degree in international relations (specializing in international food business) and has been specially trained in the United States under a USAID project in management and dissemination of agribusiness information.
