In July 2022, Black Swan Inc., located in Illinois, attended Food Export-Midwest’s 2022 Midwest Buyers Mission. This mission attendance was the tenth time the BBQ Sauce supplier attended Food Export’s annual Buyers Mission in Chicago.
During the event, Black Swan met with buyers from Australia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Spain, South Korea, Singapore, and Canada. The meetings allowed the Dundee, Illinois-based supplier the opportunity to present their award-winning barbeque sauces to buyers. In December, Black Swan reported that after the mission, they continued conversations with the buyer from Spain and completed a sale worth $10,000. This sale to Spain is the first-time sale for Black Swan to the market.
As a result, Black Swan Inc. gained a new export market, increased brand awareness, and built relationships with multiple international buyers.
