2020 marked Belle Cove’s fifth year participating in Food Export-Northeast’s Branded Program. Although last year was a bit different due to the COVID pandemic, and the company was not able to use the program as planned, Belle Cove was still able to report $200,000 in actual export sales to Taiwan with the help of Food Export-Northeast. This was a first-time export sale to this market for this company, despite the challenges brought on by 2020.
In addition to Branded Program participation over the last few years, this Maine supplier has also been an active participant in many other Food Export-Northeast programs and services. Participation for Belle Cove includes Export Essentials modules, the Online Product Catalog, webinars, Food Show PLUS!™ events, Buyers Missions, Virtual Connect, and Virtual Trade Missions.
Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
