Based out of Pittsburg, Kansas, family-owned and operated, Pureluxe provides natural pet food primarily sourced from America’s heartland. Their high-quality pet food includes a unique blend of micro-nutrients specifically formulated to give pets sustainable energy, immune support, healthy skin, and a beautiful coat.
Since 2018, Pureluxe Inc. has taken advantage of the Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program with Food Export-Midwest. They use the program to gain international brand awareness for their high-quality pet food products. In 2024, the Kansas-based supplier used the program to promote their products in China, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. The company promoted its products last year through advertising campaign promotions, creating digital marketing, distribution of promotional giveaway items, and with making market restriction label/package modifications.
This March, the supplier reported earning $600,000 in combined sales to China, Japan, and Saudi Arabia with projected sales to the three markets of $850,000. Most notably, the supplier’s continued sales to Saudi Arabia, which was a newly gained export market for the company last year, continued to grow last year.
When sharing the company’s success this past month, Jeremiah Davis, President of Pureluxe, shared, “The Branded Program is an extremely crucial resource for my business. Expanding our marketing efforts with the program is vital because we do not have the additional funds for marketing as our margins are so small for export. The program gives us something other than our brand to offer to a prospective customer to utilize to build their business with our products. The other point that helps me a lot is the printing of packaging when things need to be updated for language issues; this is invaluable! Without that support, I could not have done as much as I have done for these years. I have worked with Food Export-Midwest for more years than I can count, and beyond having an amazing and consistent staff of intelligent and extremely helpful people, the program works! Without this program, we would be half the size we are outside of the U.S., which is most of our business. The ways the program supports our business partners abroad that, in turn, builds brand awareness outside of the U.S. and boosts Ag business is vast. We use it for online advertising demonstrations and expos to give-a-way items. Each customer utilizes it the best they can in their market, and at the end of the day, they could not grow without it as they are also small businesses.”
Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
