Michigan Supplier Gains Export Sales With Market Access Program Funding

In 2017, Graminex LLC, located in Saginaw, Michigan, in the 5th Congressional District, participated in Food Export’s Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program where they were able to gain new export sales to Germany.

Utilizing their Branded Program funds to defer costs to attend Fi Europe/Global and expand their distribution to Germany helped the company gain 75 new foreign buyer contacts, establish 3 new agent relationships and gain over $170,000 in new export sales.

Graminex LLC is located in Saginaw, Michigan with a manufacturing facility in Deshler, Ohio. The company manufactures dietary supplements for both human and animal consumption. They have utilized Food Export programs and services since 2010 participating in Buyers Missions, Focused Trade Missions, the Online Product Catalog, webinars and the Food Export Helpline™.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
