by Food Export | Oct 29, 2018
Rastelli Global, located in Swedesboro, New Jersey, in the 1st Congressional District, utilized Food Export’s Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program to contribute marketing efforts in Bahrain, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates.

Food Export’s Branded Program offers 50% cost reimbursement for approved international marketing activities, the program funding helped Rastelli to increase their actual export sales. Their efforts also earned them over 9 new buyer contacts and created 5 new agent relationships resulting in an increase in sales of over 8%.

Rastelli Global Middle East is responsible for the sales of products and services from Rastelli Food Group and associated companies in the MENA and Asia regions. They have been active in the regions since the late 1990’s, focusing on the supply of products to commercial operators. Their regional headquarters were established in 2002 to support the growing commercial activity as the Middle East markets grew. During that time, they have shipped millions of cases of dry, chilled and frozen products into the region. Through direct ownership or proprietary partnership; they select the finest products for their customers and carefully monitor quality throughout all of the steps needed to fulfill orders. They are also able to source and consolidate almost any U.S. produced food item. They currently distribute over 5,000 products and work with more than several hundred vendors from around the world.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
