by Food Export | Jan 28, 2019
Founded on simplicity, Venus Wafers from Hingham, Massachusetts, started in 1931 with a passion for well-made, nutritious foods. Their 100% whole wheat crackers, packaged in a simple brown box are made from all-natural ingredients.

The Massachusetts Supplier has participated in Food Export – Northeast programs since 2015 taking part of the Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program and attending Buyers Missions. In 2018 Venus Wafers utilized their allocated Branded Program funds to increase their market presence in Canada by making label/package modifications to attract more product attention. This strategy helped them gain $20,000 in export sales while also gaining 1 new agent relationship.

With brand names The Original Mariner Biscuit Company, CaPeachio’s and Najaime’s Lavasch Crisp Flatbreads, Venus Wafers caters to retail and private label market segments.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
