Summer Fancy Foods Buyers Mission Helps Earn First-Time Market Sale

by Food Export | Feb 04, 2019
In July of 2018, Miller’s Mustard of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania participated in Food Export – Northeast’s Summer Fancy Food Buyers Mission at the Summer Fancy Food Show. There they met with twelve different international buyers to introduce them to their unique mustard product.

It was ultimately the buyer from Spain who showed the greatest interest in the Pennsylvania Supplier’s product and a sale for $3,000 was reported by Miller’s Mustard this past December. This sale represents a first-time market sale to Spain for the supplier while they also project to complete $9,000 more in sales over the next twelve months.

Started in 2002 with a humble experiment, Miller’s Mustard was born. Making a few jars of the homemade banana pepper mustard brought smiles to family members and an idea formed to sell the unique sauce at local specialty stores. The response to the product was overwhelming and the brand grew. Fifteen years later, the award-winning mustard can be found in national grocery chains and in international markets.

Participating in Food Export programs since 2012, Miller’s Mustard has utilized the Branded Program, Food Show PLUS!™ services, attended Buyers Missions and has products listed in the Online Product Catalog.
