Ohio Supplier Successfully Establishes New Agent Relationship

On January 7-8th, 2019, East-West International Group, Inc., an international services and development company located in Ohio’s 14th Congressional District, attended the Focused Trade Mission to the Philippines for Natural and Retail Products.

East-West International Group has a food division that features chips, snacks, seasonings, and peanut butter from various brands across the United States. At the Focused Trade Mission, the company successfully interacted with 10 new international buyers and suppliers as well as 2 distributors/agents and sold a total of $20,000 worth of product with $100,000 of projected sales to come.

East-West International Group, Inc. (EWIG) was established in 1979 in Ohio, USA. Located in Moreland Hills, Ohio, the company specializes in international trade and consultant services, helping many western and Asian companies develop internationally. EWIG’s food division has exhibited in many American and Asian shows, and EWIG has assisted American food manufacturers in establishing distributors and organizing promotional activities. Today, EWIG continues to aid companies with their global connections and business and hopes to continue its international efforts into the future.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
